Mike de Halpert has been working in Business Intelligence for about 15 years, from creating his first integrated Decision Support System for Birkbeck College, through to full marketing database and Business Intelligence systems for Ads Dot Com Ltd (InterCasino) and LloydsTSB Business Lending Taskforce.

Mike is currently Global Head of Strategic Analytics at eBay Marketplaces, responsible for budget allocation, financial management and liaising with senior stakeholders (CXO) to understand business performance, strategic direction, competitor activity and market intelligence. Previous to this role, he was eBay’s Head of European Customer Analytics & Decision Support, responsible for the analysis of all branding acquisition campaigns, including B2C and C2C seller activities, relationship marketing and loyalty campaigns, social media, segmentation, predictive modelling, customer insight, onsite marketing & demographics for Europe and the Global Expansion Team.

Having worked both in marketing and as a techie, Mike is an expert in bridging the gap between marketing / business needs and what is technically possible.
